Jim Maffie is a retired senior lecturer in the Department of History, University of Maryland, College Park. He is the author of Aztec Philosophy: Understanding a World in Motion (University Press of Colorado, 2014) as well as articles on Mexica/Nahua meta-philosophy, metaphysics, ethics, and epistemology, as well as on the hermeneutical challenges facing early post-Conquest colonial scholarship.
